Pension

In the Kerala Tailoring Workers’ Welfare Fund Board, Retirement pension is distributed with Government Financial assistance and Family/Disability pension is distributed with board’s own fund.

Retirement Pension

Retirement pension is currently being granted at the rate of Rs. 1800/-per month to members who have completed not less than three years of service in the Kerala Tailoring Workers’ Welfare Scheme and without discontinuation of contribution at the time of retirement (60 years of age)

Family Pension

On death of a person who is a retirement pensioner of the Kerala Tailoring Workers’ Welfare Fund Board, Only one member of his family is allowed family pension in the following order of priority.

  1. 1.) Wife/Husband of the member who died.
  2. 2.) Minor Sons.
  3. 3.) Unmarried daughters.

Non-Member Disability Pension

Before the Kerala Tailoring Workers’ Welfare Fund Act, 1994, came into force, tailoring workers who have completed 60 years of age and are unable to work due to Permanent disability and who have worked as tailors or self-employed for a period of not less than three years are eligible for disability pension.

Member Disability Pension

Tailoring workers who are permanently disabled and unable to work due to fatal diseases such as paralysis, cancer, kidney disease, heart disease, etc. while they are members of the Welfare Fund, and tailors who have completed 60 years of age and are members of the Welfare Fund, will be paid the minimum pension amount allowed from time to time as disability pension.
